Hi, I’m Hannah
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW, MSW, CATP, CTIP, TFCBT
(she/her)
I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance life feels heavier than you’d like it to right now.
You don’t have to navigate it alone.
I created Aligned Counseling because I believe healing begins when we have a space where we feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted. My goal is to provide that space for you: a place where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and begin moving toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
My approach
My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Every client is different, so I tailor therapy to fit your unique experiences and goals rather than trying a one-size-fits-all approach.
I draw from evidence-based practices, including:
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic model that views every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts guided by a core Self.
-
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-oriented therapeutic approach designed to resolve symptoms of chronic stress, shock, and trauma trapped in the nervous system.
-
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a goal-focused type of talk therapy that helps you notice and change unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
-
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a structured type of talk therapy designed to help people manage intense emotions, cope with distress, and improve relationships.
-
Trauma-informed care is an organizational and clinical framework that shifts the question from "What is wrong with you?" to "What happened to you?" to avoid re-traumatization and support healing.
-
Strength-Based Therapy is an empowering approach that focuses on individuals’ inherent strengths and abilities, rather than concentrating on problems or deficits.
Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of working with adolescents and adults in both crisis settings and everyday mental health care, in outpatient and community settings. My clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related concerns across the lifespan.
My work includes helping build coping skills, increase emotional regulation, and improve interpersonal functioning. I collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate care with medical providers to support clients’ holistic health.
